I have to be the laziest, slowest fanfiction writer on earth but I finally come with an update!

Gekokujou: Chapter 4/?
rating: Eh, R for language
warnings: Crying mushrooms, evil kitties, meddlesome narcoleptics, and bitchy acrobats. And Atobe (though he doesn't really do much)
Summary: Oshitari drags Hiyoshi out, only to result in Hiyoshi becoming anxious about how Gakuto and Yuushi really feel about him. They run into a certain pair, and random stuff occurs. I haven't slept in over 24 hours, so my summary sucks....
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters. They are property of Konomi Takeshi, I am only borrowing....

This was awkward. They didn't hold hands, they barely even talked. Hiyoshi felt like he was BORING Oshitari. His heart ached. The handsome, blue-haired tensai walking ahead of him looked so uninterested even though this was HIS idea. "Oshitari-Senpai, if you are bored, you don't have to continue this..."
"Continue what?" Oshitari asked, looking back at the blond.
"Keeping me company. I really appreciate it, but I don't want to bore you anymore."
"Bore me? Is that what you think is going on? Oh, Hiyoshi-kun, you're mistaken. I'm simply stuck."
Hiyoshi cocked his head a little. "Stuck?"
Oshitari scratched his head bashfully. "Yes. I don't know where to take you. I'm not sure where you would enjoy
going...."
Hiyoshi felt guilty. His stomach dropped a little as he looked the tensai in the eye. "Anywhere is fine, really."
he answered. It was true. Anywhere was fine as long as he was with Oshitari, though he had to admit, Mukahi being
there would have made it even better.
Oshitari smiled. "Let's go to a gay bar then..."
Hiyoshi nearly choked on his on breath. "A g-g-gay bar?? But we're under aged! We aren't allowed to go into bars!" He certainly wasn't going to do anything that might risk him being kicked off the tennis team.
Oshitari stared at him for a minute, then burst out laughing. He was laughing so hard he had to crouch right there on the sidewalk, holding his stomach. "Oh, you are too much! I don't know what's funnier, your naiveté, or the fact that the only thing that you were concerned about was that fact that I said bar!"
Hiyoshi felt his face redden. This was devastating! Not only did Oshitari pretty much know he was gay now, the tensai also thought he was stupid. "Well, you shouldn't make stupid jokes like that!" Hiyoshi cried, feeling tears start to burn his eyes. “If you were just going to make a fool out of me, you could have done that back at Atobe's!!" He couldn't stop himself from voicing every fear he had since this whole ordeal started. He ignored the stares of the people passing by as he continued to scream. "You've probably been laughing at me behind my back the whole time, haven't you? Making me feel like someone actually gives a shit about me...what were you and Mukahi-Senpai planning to do? Just when I feel all safe, betray me and drop me just
like my family did?!" He stood there, staring at the ground, practically hyperventilating.
He felt Oshitari's hand on his shoulder. "Do you feel better now that it's all out?"
He stared at Oshitari through tear drowned eyes. No he didn't feel better! He felt like shit!!
"Hiyoshi. Gakuto and I never had any intention of betraying you, and we have certainly not been laughing behind your back.
We both had murderous intent against your family when we heard how much you suffered. I'm sorry if I gave you that idea..." He pulled the blond into a tight hug. "I'm sorry, you were just so cute, I couldn't help but laugh."
Hiyoshi wiped away his tears. "You're an idiot." He hissed.
"I am aware of this..." Oshitari chuckled. "Forgive me for that, if you will..."
          "Whatever..."
"Ooooh...Oishi! Look what we walked in on!" Oh, great. Just what Hiyoshi wanted to have to deal with...Seigaku's Golden Pair. "Are you cheating on Gakuto, nya~?"
Not letting go of Hiyoshi, Oshitari simply chuckled. It made Hiyoshi shiver. " Now, now, Kikumaru-san, this isn't what this looks like at all. Gakuto knows exactly what I'm up to."
What the hell does that even mean? Hiyoshi could only wonder.
The Enbu tennis player examined the couple in front of them. Seigaku's "Golden Pair" made his teeth hurt. They were so sugary sweet...It reminded him a lot of Shishido and Ohtori...the only difference being that the Golden Pair was obvious in their feelings for each other, while Shishido and Ohtori were painfully oblivious. They were both obviously in love with the other, but they were stupid, and wouldn't be upfront about it.
Not that Hiyoshi was one to talk, considering that one of the objects of his affections was right in front of him.
The redhead of the Golden Pair giggled. "Ne, Oshitari-kun, your bastard of a boyfriend told me that Hiyoshi-kun wasn't feeling well. Should you really have him out like this?" Hiyoshi was confused. It seemed like Kikumaru and Mukahi communicated like friends, but they didn't seem to like each other. "Shouldn't the poor thing be resting?"
Oishi nodded. He spoke to Hiyoshi directly. "You shouldn't push yourself if you are ill, Hiyoshi-kun."
Hiyoshi couldn't help but blush at the pair's concern. They didn't even know him, really, and here they were, overly concerned about him. "I'm
feeling much better, Kikumaru-san, Oishi-san. Thank you for your concern" He said, and, like he was taught, bowed politely at the older boys.
"Kikumaru-san, when was the last time you talked to Gakuto?" Oshitari asked.
"Actually, the asshole called me about a half an hour ago." Kikumaru grinned. Hiyoshi thought that they had sort of rivalry-ran friendship.
It still confused the hell out of him. "He mentioned something about you being on a date without him....Is this what he meant, nya~?"
"Now, now, Eiji..." Oishi laughed nervously. "No need to pry, now..."
"I know, I know. Hoi...Oishi....look at the time! I promised Fujiko we wouldn't be late this time!!" The acrobat grabbed his partner's hand and started to pull him away. Before they dashed out of sight, the redhead turned to the two, offering them a Cheshire's grin. "You two be good, and don't let that poor acrobatic poser out of the fun, nya~"
Hiyoshi felt a chill go up his spine. That "Nya" probably meant that Kikumaru was up to no good. Apparently, Kikumaru, a member of Seigaku, knew more about what was going on than poor Hiyoshi, who was still as confused as ever.
"Oshitari-san....What exactly was that all about? What exactly do you have planned for me today?"
Oshitari looked at the blonde seriously, no smirk, no "greater than thou" attitude. "Do you really want to know, Hiyoshi-kun?"
"No, I want to sit here and play Tiddlywinks with you...Yes! I'm going crazy with confusion! I just....is this just to make me feel better?
You and Mukahi-Senpai have done enough. You can get back to your own lives now."
Oshitari chuckled. "We wouldn't even bother talking to you if we didn't care about you, Hiyoshi-kun. We do it because we like you."
Hiyoshi stared. Somehow...somehow that answer was enough to appease him for now. Maybe it was because he wanted Mukahi to be there when he got the whole answer. The second year nodded, signaling to Oshitari that was all he needed to hear. Yet, even though they had yet to go anywhere, and he wasn't upset or anything, he no longer wanted to be there. "Oshitari-Senpai, I'm tired..."
Oshitari looked shock, as if the statement was abrupt, which it was, in his opinion. "You're....tired....?"
"I just feel really tired. Is it ok if we go back?"
Oshitari placed a hand on Hiyoshi's forehead, checking his temperature. "You don't feel feverish..."
           "I don't feel ill...just tired. Please."
"Alright....I'll bug Atobe and get a car sent..."
Hiyoshi had to admit that having Atobe pretty much at his beck and call was sort of...nice. The narcissist kept his word when he said that the Atobe family would be taking full care of the Enbu tennis player. When the car pulled up, Hiyoshi crawled inside. He must have underestimated how tired he was, because almost as soon as the car started moving, he fell asleep.

"He's always scowling at school, you wouldn't think he was this cute," Hiyoshi heard a familiar voice giggle as he stirred from his sleep.
"Jiroh, you’ll wake him up...na, Kabaji?"
         "Usu..."
Hiyoshi opened his eyes to see Jiroh, Atobe, and Kabaji watching over him. "What are you all doing here?" he asked, getting straight to the point.
"You had Oshitari worried. When you arrived back here, he couldn't get you to wake up. He left to go pick up Gakuto," Jiroh filled Hiyoshi in on the situation. "Atobe's nurse said you're just exhausted, but the two of them are worrywarts when it comes to you."
"Huh...? Then why are you three here?" The second year asked,
"I live here, and Kabaji and Jiroh are visiting." Atobe answered mockingly. " We wanted to make sure you were ok," his tone turned sincere. "You shouldn't be venturing out if you don't feel up to it, physically OR mentally."
"I was fine this morning, but I had a lot on my mind by the time I fell asleep..." He answered honestly. "Oshitari-Senpai wears me out... mentally, anyway...."
Before the three could say anything, the bedroom doors flew open to reveal Gakuto followed by a very exasperated looking Oshitari.
"Hiyoshi! What the fuck? I almost had a heart attack when I heard you passed out!"
Hiyoshi wanted to escape right then and there. "I didn’t pass out...I fell asleep."
"And wouldn't wake up!" Gakuto added. "Geez, what were you doing going out if you were tired?"
"Actually..." Oshitari spoke up, saving Hiyoshi. "I dragged him out. This was my fault.”
“Yuushi! Didn’t I tell you not to push him if he was tired?” Gakuto growled.
“It’s not Oshitari-Senpai’s fault.” Hiyoshi said, shyly. “I really didn’t feel tired when he invited me out. I was really happy that he wanted me to go with him…but I just…”
Gakuto stood there with his hands on his hips. “He tired you out, didn’t he? Yuushi! Really….”
“I feel like I’m intruding…” Jiroh said suddenly. “Ne, Keigo, let’s go play that new video game I brought over. You too, Kabaji-chan…”
                 “Usu…”
Atobe looked like he was about to protest when Jiroh looked up to him, his brown eyes staring up into Atobe’s blue ones. The boy gave a mischievous smile and promptly grabbed Atobe by the hand, dragging him away. It was quite obvious to Hiyoshi, and probably everyone else, that Jiroh had Atobe wrapped around his little finger.
Hiyoshi felt the tension in the air. He was here, alone, with Oshitari and Mukahi, and Mukahi seemed pissed. Hiyoshi felt terrible…The two people he cared about the most were fighting and it was all his fault…
