I must say that my first trip to Illinois was certainly an interesting one.
Acen was fun, but the trip is exhausting.....
I had no clue you could meet people from con on the trip home!
But it happened....twice....
I was very happy to see Sera and Duckie again ^_^
And I actually ate! (which may not seem like a big deal to most, but I have a bad habit of not eating for three days straight during a con)
I spent all of my money ^_^ Of course. Mostly on Doujinshi
But I found Cookie's More than Limit Tenimyu report! And I bought a Flower Place anthology. And A Jet Monster Anthology. And...well, let's not go into the Doujin thing.
Sasuga did have some magazine's I had to buy, one featuring Miyano Mamoru, one featuring the PuriPuri D boys, and one featuing Kimeru.
I also bought lots of random Tenipuri stuff, the Princess Princess artbook, went half on a giant Haruhi Suzumiya book with my brother.
And I got my cousin an Ichigo plushie (which she paid for).
I'm still too scatterbrained to make a coherent con report, but let's just say I had fun. Even if the hotel I stayed at and the convention center were half a mile a part. I think I had to have walked at least 4 miles during the whole thing. Not counting walking around the con itself. But It wasn't all that bad to do.
Even with the whole badge trouble and long lines (actually, since I had already received MY badge, I had to wait for the rest of my group...which took well over an hour), Acen left a good impression on me for the most part. I met some interesting people, and had some fun. And I got to be in a different time zone (Which, again, might not be a big deal for most, but I am not well traveled, and have never been in another time zone...)
